Every row here is a real built project submitted by an architect or owner and checked by an editor before publication — not a model. Compared against the modelled estimate for the same species, never merged with it.
Observed age and maintenance come from real, still-standing projects. Modelled mean service life comes from the WI-INDEX for the same species. The gap between the two is informative, not a verdict.
Small samples are marked explicitly. A handful of reports is not evidence of a species-wide pattern — treat the aggregates as anecdotal until n is larger.

Where at least five moderated field reports describe the same species, the gap between observed age and the modelled service life becomes a declared correction factor (WI-FCAL). It is a modelled estimate — never a measurement — and it is never applied silently.
