Terms of use
What WoodIntel guarantees, what it does not, and how its outputs should be used in professional practice.

Acceptance
By using WoodIntel you accept these terms. If you use the platform on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept them for that organisation.
What the platform is — and is not
WoodIntel is a decision-support and research tool. It summarises standards, climate data and published research to help you compare options and find evidence.
It is not a substitute for professional engineering judgement, structural design, fire engineering, or the applicable national building code. Outputs must be reviewed by a qualified professional before they are used in a project, tender or built work.
Evidence and accuracy
Data is drawn from public standards, climate reanalysis and peer-reviewed literature, and is graded by evidence strength where possible. Sources may be incomplete, superseded or misapplied to a specific context. Always verify against the current version of the referenced standard.
Service-life and durability estimates are modelled indications, not guarantees of performance. Actual performance depends on detailing, workmanship, maintenance and local exposure.
Independence
WoodIntel is initiated and funded by SiOO:X Wood Protection. It is independently governed and does not promote or recommend any manufacturer, including its funder. No manufacturer, including SiOO:X, has influence over data, methods or results, and we do not accept paid placement or sponsored species profiles.
Acceptable use
Do not scrape the platform at scale, resell outputs as your own dataset, attempt to bypass access controls, or submit unlawful content or personal data about third parties.
Intellectual property
Original text, design, models and compilations on this site belong to WoodIntel. Cited standards and research remain the property of their publishers; consult their licence terms before reuse. You may quote our material with attribution and a link.
Liability
The platform is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, WoodIntel is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the platform or reliance on its outputs.
Governing law and contact
